He might not be under the brightest lights of the College Football Playoffs, but Jim Harbaugh has been drawing attention during his interviews at the Orange Bowl. He was asked a lot of questions as to how his team was enjoying Miami. Below is his response:
Interviewer: Coach, your players are a little upset that they haven’t seen any bikinis. I’d like to get your thoughts on that
Jim H: I don’t have any thoughts on that.
Interviewer: They would like to see some bikinis before they leave.
Jim H: I don’t know about that. I don’t know anything about that. I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Interviewer: See the beach.
Jim H: I don’t know what you’re talking about
Interviewer: The beach, the bikinis.
Jim H: Yeah. I don’t know anything about that.
Interviewer: Not on the itinerary?
Jim H: Don’t know what you’re talking about.
The interview game just changed forever. Coach Harbaugh is out here with a blatant disrespect for journalism and I absolutely love it. He has found a way to answer everyone’s questions, while avoiding getting fined, and still not acknowledging any questions that he doesn’t feel like answering. He took the answer of “No Comment.” to new heights by not even having the ability to form a comment. Pure genius. This strategy goes far beyond press conferences though. I intend to use this in my everyday life.
Jon, how did your semester round up?”
Me: I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Your school semester. Did you get your grades yet?
Me: I don’t have enough information to properly answer that.
Uhhh ok, well are you going back to school?
Me: Where am I? Who are you?
